Participants of the Forum included activists of the international movement for solidarity with Crimean Tatar people #LIBERATECRIMEA, members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, representatives of Ukrainian authorities and the diplomatic corps. In the words of Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis, the campaign “United by Flag - #LIBERATECRIMEA” raised international awareness of the Crimean Tatar people and their ongoing non-violent resistance to the occupation of Crimea. Greetings of Ukraine’s president and prime minister were read out at the forum. Estonian Institute of Human Rights was represented at the forum by the Chair of its Council, Mr. Mart Rannut.
